Electronics has developed a security system that simply locks out car operating panel push buttons until a code has been received by the unit, either through a keypad or card reader interface. These systems were designed to secure up to 4, 8, 16, 20, 24 or 32 landings. Features include up to a 6 digit code for up to 600 users, as well as a fire override. Available accessories are a handheld programmer or USB drive for the building supervisor to be able to add and delete user codes as well as a timer to turn the system on and off at programmable times throughout the day.
